Our Story
Kataluma Chai was founded on Bainbridge Island, just a short ferry ride away from Seattle. During a visit, Kataluma Colorado archetype, Lanell Sonner, tasted the Caramel Dream, and knew she had to share it with everyone in Colorado. Thus, Kataluma Chai was established in the Colorado Mills Mall.
Kataluma Chai continued to grow and expand, hiring university student, Mailie Medina. Mailie worked hard at Kataluma during her studies and eventually became manager. In summer 2015, ownership changed hands and Mailie took over as CEO and Owner of Kataluma Chai.
Kataluma Chai has established itself as a Colorado staple, offering a unique sweet and spicy chai that strikes a perfect balance between traditional and modern flavors.
We strive to enrich the lives of our community, through hiring students and empowering their development, to enabling local authors to meet their audience.
